Silver Stream Farms Website Design
Backstory
We partnered with Silver Stream Farms in 2012 to build their first-ever website. Established in 1923, Silver Stream has evolved from a massive farming operation in Richmond Hill, into a must-visit destination in Port Sandfield, Muskoka. Owners Steve and Bruce Watford needed a website customers could rely on for accurate information, seasonal hours, and updates.
Opportunity
As Silver Stream’s popularity had exploded—including mentions in the Toronto Star, Globe and Mail, Narcity, and even National Geographic. It was time for a more modern website that better reflected the brand, improved usability, and highlighted what makes the farm market a standout local and tourist attraction.
Results
The redesign focused on showcasing the in-person experience online, with stronger visuals, clearer navigation, and content that highlights each of the farm market’s specialties.
- Modern, full-width design with updated photography
- Streamlined navigation and clearer access to hours and key info
- Dedicated pages for local produce, bakery, butcher, deli, and ice cream parlour
- Instagram integration to reflect real-time activity and popularity
- SEO improvements to support local discovery and niche offerings
- Secure, updated WordPress build for long-term reliability
The result is a more engaging, informative website that captures the personality of Silver Stream Farms and reinforces its reputation as a must-visit cottage country destination in the heart of Muskoka.
Looking forward
Silver Stream Farms was the second client to sign on when Firefly started, back in 2012. It meant a ton that Steve and Bruce trusted us to launch their brand online, and we’re actively looking for new ways to help them succeed in their digital space.
